Explanation

Code 27 is used to indicate that foreground audio content is presented with no background noise, low background noise (at least 20dB below the level of the foreground), or background noise can be switched off.

This value appears to correspond to WCAG Success Criterion 1.4.7 Low or No Background Audio but it is not similarly restricted to audio that is primarily speech. For the purposes of setting this value, it is advised to follow the requirements of success criterion 1.4.7.

Only for use in ONIX 3.0 or later.
