Code List 196 - 54: Accessible chemistry content (as LaTeX)

Explanation

Code 54 indicates that chemical formulas are expressed using the LaTeX formatting language.

It is not common to find LaTeX used to directly render chemical content in publications, but LaTeX equivalents are sometimes included in the description or as the alternative text for formulas expressed using other markup.

Only for use in ONIX 3.0 or later.
