Code List 196 - 14: Short alternative textual descriptions

Explanation

Code 14 indicates that all non-decorative images provide short alternative text equivalents. It is not required to include extended descriptions for complex images to set this code (see code 15).

Alternative text descriptions are also required for any audio and video content.

It is not required to provide extended descriptions for content that conveys no meaningful information, such as decorative images.
