Purpose
The purpose of this success criterion is to ensure that users who are blind or visually impaired can access the non-visual content (e.g., the actions of individuals, changes in scene, etc.) of a video through an audio description track.
How to Meet
For all video with audio content, authors must provide an audio descriptions track that describes any missing information only conveyed visually.
This success criterion only differs from success criterion 1.2.3 in that it requires an audio description track. A transcript is not sufficient.
